Snap a photo of your existing pricelist and AI fills in your services, categories, and prices.
No more typing 50 services row by row. Take a photo of any pricelist — printed brochure, salon menu, even a handwritten board — and ZibaDesk's AI extracts every service, organises them into categories, and pre-fills the prices. You review the result, tick what you want, and import in one tap. Most salons go from blank to a complete service catalogue in under two minutes.
Available during onboarding (the wizard offers it on the Services step) and any time later from Settings → Services → "Import from photo". The same flow handles single-page menus and multi-page brochures alike.
الخطوات
1. Open the importer
During onboarding, tap the rose-coloured "Import from photo" button on the Services step. After onboarding, go to Settings → Services and tap the same button at the top-right of the services list. The importer modal opens with two options: Take a photo (mobile) or Choose a file (desktop).
2. Capture or upload
On a phone, tap "Take a photo" — the camera opens, you frame the pricelist, and confirm. On desktop, tap "Choose a file" and pick a PNG, JPG, or PDF from your computer. Multi-page PDF brochures are read in full. Image quality doesn't need to be perfect — slightly angled phone photos in normal indoor light work well.
3. AI reads the page
After upload, you see "Reading your pricelist…" with a progress indicator. A vision model scans the image, finds every service name and price, detects section headings, and returns a structured list. Most pricelists complete in 10–20 seconds; long multi-page beauty menus may take up to a minute.
4. Review the extracted services
You land on a review screen showing every service the AI found, with name, price, suggested category, and a checkbox per row. Tick or untick any row, edit prices in-line if the OCR misread a number, and use Select all / Deselect all at the top to flip the whole list at once.
5. Categories build themselves
The AI doesn't just dump a flat list — it groups services into logical categories (Hair Colour, Nails, Lashes, Waxing, Massage, etc.). If your pricelist already has section headings, those become category names. Otherwise the model infers them from service names. Each category gets a colour and an icon automatically, so your POS looks polished from the very first tap.
6. Import
Tap "Import N services". The selected rows are added to your service catalogue, the inferred categories are merged into Settings → Categories, and a green confirmation toast appears. Your POS, online booking page, and appointment calendar are populated and ready for clients immediately.
7. Multi-page brochures
Got a four-page beauty menu? Run the importer once per page (or upload the full PDF at once — it reads every page). Each run merges into the existing catalogue, so you build it up gradually without losing earlier imports.
الأسئلة الشائعة
Does it handle handwritten pricelists?
Yes, reasonably well. The AI handles printed text best, but it copes with clear handwriting on a marker board or chalkboard. Cursive is hit-or-miss — review the result carefully and edit any names that look off.
What about multiple currencies or formats?
The AI detects the currency and decimal style from your pricelist (commas vs. full stops, $/£/€/A$/₩/₫/تومان). The imported prices land in your salon's configured currency — set under Settings → General → Currency.
Can it read tiered pricing like "from $80" or "short / medium / long"?
Yes. Tiered pricing is detected and turned into ZibaDesk's variant pricing structure, so a single service can have multiple price points (S/M/L) in your POS without creating duplicate entries.
Does it pick up service durations?
If your pricelist mentions duration ("60 min", "90 min facial"), it's captured. If durations aren't printed, the AI uses sensible defaults based on service type — you can edit them in seconds on the review screen or later under Settings → Services.
What if the AI misses a service or gets a price wrong?
Just edit it on the review screen before importing, or fix it later under Settings → Services. You can also re-run the importer with a clearer photo. Multiple imports merge — they don't replace what's already there.
Is my pricelist photo stored anywhere?
The image is sent to the AI provider (Anthropic Claude) for processing and is not retained on our servers. Anthropic's data retention policy applies — see their privacy documentation for details.
Does it work on iOS and Android?
Yes. The "Take a photo" button uses the native camera on both platforms via the Capacitor camera plugin. You can also upload existing photos from your phone's gallery.
