Best Barbershop Management Software 2026: Booking, Walk-ins and Prices Compared

ZibaDesk  ·  Updated 26 October 2026  ·  11 min read
A barbershop's day on an iPad, with a column of appointments for each barber
Every barber's chair for the day, on the iPad at the front.

A barbershop lives on regulars and walk-ins. The same client wants the same fade every three weeks from the same barber, while the door keeps opening for people who just want the next free chair. Booking apps built for spas get in the way of that rhythm. The best barbershop management software puts the chairs, the walk-ins and the till on one screen, gives the shop a booking page that actually looks like a barbershop, stops no-shows costing you money and pays every barber fairly. This guide shows how ZibaDesk does each of those, with real screens, and compares the barber apps shops shortlist in 2026.

The short answer

For an independent barbershop with two to ten chairs, ZibaDesk is our pick for 2026. It handles booked regulars and walk-ins on one board, gives the shop a booking page that looks the part, protects slots with deposits or a card on file, and costs a flat price per shop with no commission on new clients. It is also the strongest choice for shops that work in Arabic, Persian or Turkish. Shops built on booth rent or a walk-in queue that clients join from their phone should look at the specialists below.

What we checkedWhy it matters in a barbershop
Walk-ins with bookingsMost shops mix both. The board must show who is waiting and which chair frees up next.

1. ZibaDesk: best overall barbershop software

ZibaDesk is a booking, client and point-of-sale app for salons, clinics and groomers, on iPad, iPhone, Android and the web. Choose the barbershop type when you sign up and it starts you with a barber menu (haircuts, beard and shave, colour, grooming) and a dark Noir booking page with barbershop pictures. The screens below are from a sample barbershop with fictional clients.

Every chair on one board

The staff board shows a column for each barber with their cuts for the day. Tap a booking to check it out, confirm it, mark the client arrived, change it, book the next visit or record a no-show. Markers show online bookings, confirmed bookings, notes, and clients who asked for that barber by name. Each barber can have different hours on each weekday, with breaks and days off.

The week across every chair.

Walk-ins next to the bookings

Salon Center lists walk-ins beside booked clients, with how long each has been waiting and which barber is taking them. Move a walk-in into the chair, then straight to the till when the cut is done. With Turn Management on, the shop can see which barber has had the fewest walk-ins today and is next up.

A booking page that looks like a barbershop

New barbershops start on the Noir style: a dark page with barbershop pictures for each category, your logo and your colours. Clients choose the barber, the cut and a time, or jump to the first available slot. You can use your own photos, change the colours or read them from your logo, and embed the page on your website or link it from Instagram and Google.

Regulars on repeat

Book the next cut before the client stands up with Book next, or set a repeat booking every week, every two weeks or every month with the same barber. Confirmations go by WhatsApp or SMS, and clients can confirm or reschedule from their link. Send an SMS campaign to clients who have not been in for 90 days.

No-show protection

Connect your own Stripe account and ask for a deposit, full payment or a saved card when clients book online. Your cancellation policy is shown with the real cut-off and the client agrees to it. If someone does not show, record the no-show and charge the fee to their saved card from the appointment; the client record counts their no-shows.

Checkout with cuts and products

Ring up a skin fade, a beard trim and a hot towel with a tin of pomade in a few taps. Take cash, card or a split payment, apply a gift card, loyalty reward or store credit, and round cash to the nearest coin if you like. Inventory tracks products with purchases, adjustments and barcode scanning, and the till is counted and closed at night.

The client's cut, remembered

Notes on each client record hold the guard numbers, the fade and how they like the beard, with photos of past cuts and their visit history. Whoever is on the chair can repeat the cut without asking.

Commission and reports

Set a commission rate for each barber and Reports work out what each one earned from their sales. Reports also cover sales, services, products, clients, payment methods and till shifts, and an optional payroll summary adds hourly or salaried pay. Run a second shop as another location on Ultra, with reports by shop or together.

Arabic, Persian, Turkish and eight more languages

Barbershops are among the most multilingual businesses there are. ZibaDesk runs in eleven languages, with proper right-to-left layouts in Arabic and Persian and an optional Persian (Jalali) calendar, plus Turkish, Vietnamese, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Chinese and Filipino. Prices, time zone and currency follow your shop.

Square Appointments (free, or US$49 a month for Plus) and Vagaro (covered in our nail salon guide) are also used by barbers, as general booking tools without barber-specific features.

What barbershop software costs in 2026

Barber apps are priced per shop (Squire, ZibaDesk), per barber (Fresha, Booksy's extra staff, Vagaro's calendars) or kept free with a charge on clients the app finds for you (theCut, Booksy Boost, Fresha's marketplace). For a busy shop with four barbers the difference over a year can be several hundred dollars, so price your real team.

ZibaDesk Pro is US$19.99 a month per shop for up to five staff, with online booking, deposits, walk-ins, the turn list, gift cards, loyalty rewards, WhatsApp confirmations and 100 SMS a month. Ultra is US$39.99 for unlimited barbers and up to five shops. There is no commission on new clients, prices are shown in your currency on our pricing page, and every shop starts with 14 days of Pro free with no card.

Moving your barbershop to ZibaDesk

  1. Sign up and choose the barbershop type. Your menu and the Noir booking page are ready to edit.
  2. Photograph your price board and use Import from photo in Settings to turn it into services, with matching pictures.
  3. Import your clients from a spreadsheet exported from your current app.
  4. Add your barbers, their hours and commission, and switch on Turn Management if you take walk-ins.
  5. Connect Stripe for deposits, then put the booking link in your Instagram bio and on Google.
Tell regulars about the new link at the chair for two weeks. Most will book their next cut on it before they leave.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best barbershop management software in 2026?

For most independent barbershops we recommend ZibaDesk: walk-ins and bookings on one board, a barbershop-style booking page, no-show protection, checkout with products and commission per barber, for US$19.99 a month per shop with no commission on new clients. Shops that rely on booth rent or online queue check-in may prefer a barber-specific app such as Squire.

Can barbershop software handle walk-ins?

Yes. In ZibaDesk, walk-ins are added to Salon Center next to booked clients, with their wait time and barber, and the turn list shows which barber is next. Clients cannot yet join the queue from their own phone.

How do I stop no-shows at my barbershop?

Ask for a deposit or a saved card when clients book online, show your cancellation policy, and send confirmations. With ZibaDesk you can charge a no-show fee to the saved card from the appointment, through your own Stripe account.

Can I pay my barbers commission with ZibaDesk?

Yes. Set a commission rate for each barber and the Commissions report works out what each earned from their sales for any period. An optional payroll summary adds hourly or salaried pay.

Is there barbershop software in Arabic?

Yes. ZibaDesk runs fully in Arabic with a right-to-left layout and Latin digits, and also in Persian and Turkish, among eleven languages.

How much does barbershop software cost?

From free with marketplace fees to US$250 a month or more. ZibaDesk is US$19.99 a month per shop for up to five barbers, or US$39.99 for unlimited barbers and up to five shops, after a 14-day free trial.
